MŌRIAH – 2026 CMA Fest: Nashville with a Latin Flair

MŌRIAH opened the 2026 CMA Fest on Thursday, June 4 at Walk of Fame Park’s Chevy Vibes Stage — first slot of the day, 11:15 AM, mariachi energy before noon. It was a homecoming of sorts for an artist who has spent the better part of the last year stacking milestones at a pace that’s hard to keep up with.

MŌRIAH - 2026 CMA Fest: Nashville

The run goes back to September 26, when she stepped into the circle at the Grand Ole Opry for her debut — performing “Sombrero” and dedicating the moment to her grandfather, a touring musician in Mexico who gave up his trumpet when he came to the United States. That same month her dual EPs Nice Life and Buena Vida arrived back to back: six tracks co-written by MŌRIAH and produced by Paul Mabury, each song released in both English and Spanish. In December she released a short film for “Nice Life,” extending the project beyond music into something more personal. And this spring “Sombrero” got a second life with a Fiesta Remix — the song that anchored her Opry debut given a new pulse for a new audience.

The songs on Nice Life draw from the same well that feeds all of MŌRIAH’s best work: family, inheritance, and the particular feeling of belonging to two cultures at once. “Honky Tonk Jesus,” written during a cross-cultural songwriting camp pairing Nashville writers with writers from Venezuela and Puerto Rico, blurs faith and folklore without forcing either. “Sombrero” started when her grandmother passed and left her hat behind — a song about the people who cover for us before we know we need covering.

MŌRIAH has also signed with CAA for representation in music, acting, and speaking, and is shooting a film with Sony Pictures this summer. The year is full. Catch her at moriahofficial.com. Pollstar News
